Chestnut Hill
Chestnut Hill's housing stock is defined by its Victorian, Colonial Revival, and early 20th-century estates, with the majority of homes built between 1850 and 1910. The neighborhood also holds notable early colonial-era structures like the Hammond House and Kingsbury House, dating to the late 1600s and early 1700s. These historic properties — with their stone foundations, original plaster walls, and aging building envelopes — present unique environmental challenges that require specialized inspection knowledge.
Newton
Newton was settled in the mid-1600s, and its diverse housing stock spans over three centuries — from 18th-century colonial homes to Victorian-era properties in Newton Centre, early 20th-century colonials in Newtonville, and mid-century builds throughout the city's thirteen villages. This range of construction types means environmental concerns vary widely, and our inspections are tailored to the specific age, materials, and building methods of each Newton home.
Needham
As our home base, we know Needham's housing landscape intimately. Originally settled in the colonial era, Needham's residential development expanded significantly in the late 1800s through mid-1900s, with some older colonial-era properties still standing near the town center. From these historic homes to newer construction in outlying neighborhoods, we understand the specific environmental challenges that Needham homeowners face throughout the seasons.
Wellesley
Wellesley was settled in the mid-1600s, and while structures from that era are rare, the town retains homes from the 1700s and 1800s alongside its well-known early 20th-century estates. Many of the classic colonials near Wellesley Square and the larger properties in the hills date to the 1850–1910 period. Whether your home is a century old or recently built, our inspections provide the detailed environmental assessment these well-maintained properties deserve.
Natick
Natick was among the earliest settlements in the region, established in the mid-1600s, and some original structures remain. The town's housing stock spans from 18th-century colonial homes through 19th-century farmhouses to contemporary builds, creating a diverse range of environmental inspection needs. From moisture concerns in centuries-old basements to air quality in recently renovated spaces, we provide thorough inspections informed by an understanding of how homes from different eras behave.
